Update from Wellington, New Zealand
Good morning readers! I think it's 1 in the afternoon on Wednesday in Chicago but it's 8-ish in the morning on Thursday here in Wellington, New Zealand's capital city. I have a lot of catch-up writing left from Australia that I will get to (good stuff too), but for now since I only have a couple of days in New Zealand I have to prioritize seeing NZ vs. taking time to write on the blog. I'm still stuck in my hotel room but blasting out the door in five minutes to meet Barbel Winter to head over to the Te Papa. It's a beautiful spring morning in Kiwi-land, and the paper says that there are 5 million Kiwis worldwide (Kiwis being New Zealanders), of whom 600,000 live abroad. Chicago people, think about this---that's just less than the population of urban Chicago. But NZ has cities ranked among the best in the world for quality of life. Anyway today I am off for activities with CCS Disability Action today---staff meeting plus the opening ceremony of their national conference. Onward!
